New Comp GTG news
Sorry Rocked up been really busy at work hauled a lot more rock in today not really liking the new stuff yet a bunch of sandstone but maybe it will get better. I talked to Darin the track owner this is The Godfather's pizza winter nationals, and he has offered to us a chance for some pizza he was thinking 5 bucks a person for those who want pizza being how we are not racing. What do you guys think about that???Also i'll have a sign up sheet for all those running a vehicle of any kind be super scaler or comp rig or what not, to log frequency and all that mess so when you get there find me and i'll hook you up and get you signed in. I want this to go as smooth as possible for Darin and Tracy these guys got alot going on Saturday and for them to let us comp in an Indoor spot that is gonna be pretty cool. I'm going to the track tommorrow to work also 1-4 and i'll try to shoot some good pics

Re: OKRCRC 1st indoor comp Nov. 8th
We had a great time. OKRCRC has a indoor spot to comp. They'll be doing more work to the course for our next comp in JAN. They have a great offroad and on road and a oval track too, this place is nice.

Re: OKRCRC 1st indoor comp Nov. 8th
I told my wife that the drivers stand that Enid R/C is using looks a lot like my old stand I built for my track years ago. Tall, wide and very long to make it comfortable for the drivers. Guess what, it is. I went to Competition R/C today to buy a crawler. James use to race at my old track and he said yes that is your old drivers stand they are using. While there I ask James about the Tekin ESC and motor combo I wanted to use and he said I'd be better off using Novak's Rooster. I like the idea of Tekin's small ESC. Does anyone run this ESC and is it any good. I did buy an Axial ARTR today and couldn't decide between a DX3 and a DX3R. Which would be better to use. Thanks for the info yesterday everyone and I'll be ready for the next Comp.

Re: OKRCRC 1st indoor comp Nov. 8th
Yes.I would go with the Tekin FXR,it will handle 11 volts and the rooster won't,DX3R for sure.Nice meeting you and thanks for the pics

Re: OKRCRC 1st indoor comp Nov. 8th
Thanks, Charlie. James doesn't what to sell me a Tekin so I'll just order it from Jake ( CKRC ). He thinks I'll crazy for considering a 11 volt battery. I sold my customers what they wanted when I had a track. I never followed the norm when I raced. Jake Hallenbeck won overall at Moab back in Sept. He's a very good 1:1 crawler and goes by King Bling on the RCCRAWLER.com board and just built a scale rig of his 1:1 rig. I'll get the DX3R then, thanks for the info.

Re: OKRCRC 1st indoor comp Nov. 8th
sry I could not make it. Work sucks and my boss was just fired. Didn't figure it was the time for me to ask for time off so I couldn't make it. I now have a new boss who doesn't suck so I might be able to make the next one.
