Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
Well...finally got the wheel weights in!
I put 2.5 ounces on each front wheel. I have only added weight to the flat irons, so far. From the added weight, not only does it climb better...the droop seems to be more smooth and work a little faster (which I think is good).
The Flat Iron's are awesome looking, but for outright crawling don't beat the losi's. everyone knew that already though, right? They gave me a little more clearance, but still don't hook like the claws! I still really like them though, and they are brand new....so the should soften up after getting em broke in. They do like wheel speed and side hill very well also!
Here are some pics!
now I just gotta get some weight in my losi claws.
Oh yeah, my rig weighs in at 4 lb and 9.3 ounces with the 7 cell and the weighted Flat irons!

Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
VF dig is on its way.
getting some new lockers...my front has alot of play in it now!
Also found out that my driveshaft popping problem was due to the dumb axials. So I switched them to pede shafts and on the rear used 2 females and a male shaft in the middle.
EDIT: The rear shafts will probably be to freaking long once I get the dig in there! haha

Where did you get the dig? I'm impatiently waiting for the online shops to show the dna/vf digs available.

Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
Those new black digs from VS/DNA are supposed to be at the online stores this week. At least that's what I was told by Solomon @ DNA.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for yours?

DNA dig is installed and functional along with the some Freak stuff racing lockers, only got the rear in now. Still gotta replace the wounded front locker!

Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
Got the locker replaced up front... I also think I got the flat irons broke in, they are nice and soft now (actually show some wear on the outer top lugs). They do like wheel speed though!
I think I am ready for disney!

Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
well well..... while playing at Disney under the pavillion, I noticed my dig linkage had moved a little bit and was causing the rear to stay in freewheel for the most part. I get home and go to adjust the linkage and EPA's and I burn up the freaking 225. I got another one coming and will hopefully have this thing tuned in so I can kick everyones butt at comp 7.

Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
That sucks. Atleast your not like me, I went out with my bro last night to do some crawling and cost my self around $150 in one night.
Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!

Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
I'm thinking of just keeping a spare 225 around for that very reason. You can get them on ebay for under $20.

Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
Yeah, I am gonna send this one to hitec and see if they'll make it good or give me a good deal on another one. Mine from TCS came in today but that is a good idea on keeping an extra. I'd use a bigger servo, but I just don't have the room in the little tuber.

Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
Well Hitec hooked me up...I got a postcard yesterday saying it I would have a servo back to me within 2 weeks. I come home today and FedEx Ground left me a new servo from hitec.

Re: My fatdog tuber comp rig!
So my glitching problem comes from me having my tq3 RX antennae "laddered" in a peice of lexan. Any other ideas on how I can run my antennae to get rid of the glitching?
