The Sons Comp Truck Empty The Sons Comp Truck

Bought the son a Axial RTR a couple years ago and did the usual up grades, put on new links had to get rid of all the plastic put a brushless in it and new steering servo. Well the daughter wanted a truck so that ment that Blake was going to get a new truck. Darren had a Slingshot frame at Enid RC Speedway that was on a berg so I bought it, had to drill the holes for the tranny and we was on our way. I knew that I wanted the links to be a 40/60 set up to move the weight to the front. I tiged up a axle guset for the rear end for the four link and did a double trianglation on it.

For the front mount I was going to use saddle packs but changed over to lipos and I was doing BTA steering and a servo in the middle and links don't work. In the picture you can see the mount and the link seperation was to much no travel and wrong drive shaft angles.

For the shocks I didn't want buy any and I didn't know what would work So I had a XXT Losi truck and I stole them and put them on just layed them way down.

The BTA setup is alot like mine witch is pictured and it works real good and no tie rods in the rocks.
For the ESC Iit is getting the Novak Goat brushless 21.5 and for right now it has a CKRC dig unit in it hope it works have never used it, running a Spektrum DX3E radio and a Hitec 7954 steering servo.

This is the BTA steering setup that is on my truck but it is alot like mine I like it cause it keeps every ting out of the rocks.

Thats what I have for now waiting on parts need new High Steer Knuckles. The ones I have fit a berg I will post up how I mounted the dig servo some more work as I get it done. Then we have to get to work on our comp course at our house have 2 trailer loads of rocks to stack. Should be big enough for people to come practice on when we are done.

Working on it like to see what the weather is going to do. Might drive to Tulsa and spend the night so we don't have to get up so early and we will probably bring the Teryx for later. Ordered parts from James just waiting on them to get here to finish the steering.

Well did a litle changing on the steering four link plate made a rock gaurd for it so it doesn't mess up the servo and battery. We put it all together and made a maden voyage at Roma Nose with it and the kid loved it need to do a little tweeking on it but other than that it runns good we will be ready for the comp at Red Rock.
