I'm building this in my front yard
My wife wanted a new area in our front yard to plant some ornamental grass and stuff So I asked if I could build a crawling spot into the planter. She said YES!!!!
So last weekend I brought our skidsteer home and started gathering rocks for the project.
We are using the same type rocks our house is built from.
Then I started mounding up some dirt. I brought home 3 loads of dirt about 20 tons a piece.
Then we started building a perimeter wall.
My kids love to help.
During the week I brought home 4 pickup truck loads of stone for the wall. About 3000 lbs per load.
Then today I got down to placing some larger stones in the area and up on the mounds.
Then we finally finished the perimeter wall. DAMN it s alot of work!!!
Then it was time to try out the spots. When i'm finished there will be trails running from area to area. It should be pretty neato.
More to come.

Sweet!
That rock garden makes mine look like, well, a very small pile of rock and busted up concrete That will be sweet! I have mine started, but nothing like that. Mine is in part of the in-field of my 1/10 scale track for my Slash. Covered it with plastic and started hauling rock into it as I find them! Being from Missouri I never thought I would have to LOOK for rocks I grew up in MO on a rock pile for a yard, FIGURES Now our yard is nothing but nice black dirt and I'm hauling in rocks My wife thinks I've lost it
