Re: pinion size
I've ground on the tranny case to let a 14 pinion fit in there. Thats what we ran in them. with 7c. 3c lipo made it work alot better. 12 pinion will be fine.
We started off with 55t and a 12 pinion, 7c. Then we went to a 35t ,7c. Then we went to a 35t,3c lipo, 14 pinion. Is what we have been running in them now. Thats what Jarred was running at Disney ,but we have TLT axles .
With the gearing that the WK has in it's axles, a smaller pinion might work better. I think you would like a 45t or 35t motor though.

the truck is 90%. eight hrs. from wk to comp rig. only had 14 tooth. truck is real peppy. now all i need is a 3 channel radio for the dig. next question, can you control all three actions of the dig with the 3rd channel on a dx3 or do i need to get a ds3. pics to come soon.

DX3R you can do all 3, DX3S you can do locked or 4wd.

Re: pinion size
Aww, yeah, the DX3 3.0 or the older one? The 3.0 has a 2 position 3rd channel, so you can only use 2 of the settings on the dig.
Rig looks sick man, you wanna go crawl some time? I need to do some testing.
